Crosstalk and image uniformity in passive matrix polymer LED displays
نویسنده
چکیده
Passive matrix displays based on polymer and organic light-emitting diodes suffer from crosstalk, when the emission of light from one pixel depends on the operation of another pixel. We use circuit simulation in order to explain the causes of crosstalk and to quantify the consequences. Thrs work analyzes how crosstalk arises from electrode resistance, pixel leakage current, and the location of taulty pixels, All factors inlluence both Image uniformity and the power consumption ofthe display. Crosstalk in passive matrix i polymer r LED displays
Passive matrix displays based on polymer and organic light-emitting diodes (LEDs) suffer from crosstalk, t lk, the emission of lightt from pixels i ls other t than those selected. This article explores the topic of crosstalk both with an approximate i ate but analytic ti model and by means of more exact circuit i simulation in order to explain the causes of crosstalk and to quantify the consequ...
متن کاملSimulations of Passive Matrix Polymer Image Sensors
Two-dimensional passive photodiode matrices are hardly useful for image sensing due to the crosstalk between pixels. This crosstalk makes it difficult to recover information from individual pixels. A switching unit attached to each sensing unit has been the common solution in image sensors (such as in CMOS sensors and in TFT-PiN a-Si photosensors). A novel organic photodiode with voltage-switch...
متن کاملAssessment of X-Ray Crosstalk in a Computed Tomography Scanner with Small Detector Elements Using Monte Carlo Method
Introduction: Crosstalk is a leakage of X-ray or light produced in a matrix of X-ray detectors or array of photodiodes in one element to other elements affecting on image contrast and spatial resolution. In this study, we assessed X-ray crosstalk in a computed tomography (CT) scanner with small detector elements to estimate the effect of various parameters such as X-ray tube voltage, detector e...
متن کاملFeasibility of using statistical tests in evaluation of non-uniformity [Persian]
Introduction: Non-uniformity test is essentially the only required daily QC procedure in nuclear medicine practice. Noise creates statistical variation or random error in a flood image. Non-uniformity on the other hand does not have statistical nature and may be regarded as systemic error. The present methods of non-uniformity calculation do not distinguish between these two types of erro...
متن کاملCharacterization of crosstalk in high-resolution active-matrix liquid crystal displays for medical imaging
In active-matrix liquid crystal displays with large pixel array and large number of graylevels, the luminance of a pixel depends on the luminance of the rest of the image. This artifact known as crosstalk is caused by parasitic phenomena in the active-matrix array. When interpreting high information content medical images with subtle features and structured background, crosstalk can a ect image...
